With summer just around the corner, I’ve been going through all our summer hiking gear and camping equipment, looking for items that might need replacing. As I came across our old camp stove, I remembered vividly the last time I used it. It’s flame was so uneven that it scorched my cook set and also the food. Yep, this poor old camp stove has certainly seen better days and is ready for retirement. After a bit of research, I discovered what I think is the perfect replacement. This camp stove looks bulky and cumbersome but don’t let that fool you! The Coleman Exponent Feather 442 Dual Fuel Stove is by far the most efficient camp stove I’ve found. It operates very quietly, which is a plus as I’m an early bird who is usually up long before anyone else. Trying to make coffee quietly with our old stove was a challenge. This camp stove is also great because it burns either white gas or regular unleaded gas. Since it burns very little gas, you don’t have to bring extra fuel canisters. You can easily cook eight meals on one canister, so all you have to bring along is some oil for the pump cup. The Coleman Exponent Feather 442 Dual Fuel Stove is very suited for short backpacking and canoe trips, delivering boiling water in minutes, even in winter. Sure, you can find lighter camp stoves under other brand names but I think reliability and fuel economy are extremely important factors, especially when you’re far from civilization and have to have really reliable outdoor equipment gear. All things considered, I believe that this Coleman camp stove will make a great replacement for our tired out old one. Check it out.
