New item #1 – a great canister stove. This will be perfect for me to cook up some tasty, hearty meals on. I might even get the title of “Great Chef of Camp Stoves”. I think that this little gem is the ideal portable camping stove. It weighs just over 2 pounds, it’s dimensions are only 4.5 x 8.25 inches and it has a 2 liter capacity. Plenty large enough for the three of us (Aero likes to share our meals with us after she’s eaten her own). This all-in-one canister stove system has FluxRing technology and inverted butane canister injection which makes it an easy to use, very efficient and reliable high capacity system. It even has a snap on windscreen. A perfect lightweight camping stove. This little canister stove might even fit in Aero’s backpack. It’s called the Jetboil Helios Cooking System and it’s true what they say about it - high performance meets high capacity. I’m looking forward to setting up camp and cooking up a batch of beef stroganoff with wild forest mushrooms or, maybe, some fettuccini Alfredo with turkey. Can’t you just imagine, sitting in front of the fire with a hot bowl of something delicious, watching the moon come up over the trees. Bliss! I definitely think that we have found the consummate backpacking camping stove. Well now, let’s see, what’s next? Check out tomorrow’s item. To be continued…
