The rain has finally turned to snow in the local mountains so Conny and I are busily planning a weekend tent hiking trip. As we were going through our hiking camping gear we realized that it was time to invest in a new camping hiking backpack for each of us. We already got Aero her new backpack (see my blog from December 2nd) and it’s working out really well, but Conny and I definitely need to upgrade. We’ve been doing some research on different types of backpacks and have decided to go with the Osprey Aether 85 backpack for Conny and the Osprey Women’s Ariel 75 pack for me. Both of these Osprey backpacks have the AirScape suspension system that gives them superior breathability and promotes even weight distribution. We heard the Aether 85 backpack described as a “hydration pack on steroids”. With Conny being able to comfortably carry up to 55 pounds and me able to carry up to 40 pounds (hypothetically) and Aero carrying her own hiking camping gear, her food and bed, etc., we will be able to pack all the necessary cold weather gear with no problem. It’s going to be so fun! Check out these great tent hiking backpacks. Happy hiking and camping in the snow!
