My husband and I have enjoyed camping for many years and sometimes he has brought his mountain bike with him while I have remained at camp reading a book or preparing supper. I am not especially crazy about bicycle riding, because of weak knees. I have always looked at bikes as something beyond my capability, especially seeing my sweaty husband coming back from a life “on the gravel road”. But I have to tell you about my new life as a bicyclist with my new found friend, the Urban Mover UM44SL Sprite Electric Assist Step-Through Bike! This is a bike that is almost too good to be true!  It comes in 2 different styles, a heavier duty mountain bike style and a regular urban bicycle style – but don’t let that fool you, since the latter is also good for quiet unpaved back roads and trips in the country while camping in an RV by the ocean - or bringing it with you on camping trips to Hawaii or Bermuda...the opportunities are endless! I like the fact that it is such a comfortable and safe bike! I thought riding a bike was  painful but here I can sit back and let the bike take me 16 km (10 miles) over hill and dale without pedaling. And if my knees allow it, I can assist the electric lithium-ion motor by pedaling and get another 14 km (18.5 miles).  It’s so light (19.8 kg), that even I have no problem lifting it in and out of my basement. And if I exhaust the battery, it only takes 3-4 hours of charge and I’m good to go again! Here, look at it yourself, it looks like a regular bicycle and you can equip it with rear panniers, mudguards , parcel rack and side stand and astonish the other riders by passing them without pedaling!!
