Yes, these US made Mountain Khakis Original Mountain Pants are outstanding. They’re soft and comfortable while being strong enough to withstand crawling on your knees on sharp bedrock (trying to get that photo of an elusive mountain goat) or sliding down the crevasse on your butt. These mountain pants are made of double ply weave duck canvas, which is an extremely abrasion resistant canvas. Other features include a YKK strong zipper, a riveted metal button and triple stitched 10.4 ounce 100 % cotton duck canvas with bar tacks in stress areas. There are even three different colours to choose from: Yellowstone, Freestone and Granite. I think I’ll get him one of each because they’re ideal to use as hiking pants, camping pants, or for any outdoor activity (even gardening in the backyard). Anyway, if anyone is looking for durability and toughness in camping or hiking pants, these are the pants that could become both savior and companion for many years to come.
