New (last) item #9 – snow hiking camping food ideas. Hundreds of questions have been swirling  around in my head these last few days – everything from “are we being a little to optimistic” to “are we nuts”!  When we started to plan this snow hiking adventure, we had a vision of maybe 10 inches of snow.  There’s about 5 feet of snow already on the ground where we are planning to camp.   Oh well, you know what they say, “Damn the torpedoes – full speed ahead”!  Even if we do have to postpone this escapade, we’ll certainly be ready when the time comes.   All brand spanking new snow hiking outdoor gear. Today I’m working out the menu and I’ve discovered that there is a huge variety of hiking camping food to choose from.  I’m getting everything from this one source and I am quite impressed with the plethora of camping food ideas I have found here.  I’m thinking that some of this stuff might be really handy to have around the house for those days that I get home from work late and just want something really quick and easy.  One thing that we’ve just got to try for breakfast is the Bluemountain Bear Mush.  Sounds exotic doesn’t it?  For a snack, how about a Dark Chocolate/Raspberry bar? Yum.  And for lunch, some Chicken Almond Salad.  Then there’s rich Beef Stew or Chicken Cashew Curry for dinner.  Oh, my goodness, the choices seem endless.  They even have some great food for emergency situations. Come and check it out. Well, I guess this is finally the end of the shopping expedition.  I’ll let you know what happens on the trip (if it ever stops snowing). By the way, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
